Windows 10 Devices

If your camera or audio does not load when creating a meeting, start the camera application that is built into WIndows to verify your camera is working:

If your camera is not working in the built in camera app (if this method fails, try the Windows 8 panel above):

Navigate to this site: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/software/vantage
Click on the download button:

Click the “Get” button on the resulting page:

You should receive a prompt at the top of the window. Click “Open Microsoft Store”

After the Microsoft Store opens, click “Get” again:

You should get a pop up asking you if you want to sign in with a microsoft account, select “No, Thanks”

The program should start to download:

Once Vantage starts to load, it will take a couple of minutes to come up:

The program will ask you if you want to let it access your microphone. Click Yes:

The program will ask you if you want to let it access your camer. Click Yes:

Ensure that you camera and your microphone are showing as active:

Quick Settings

Try Hangouts again and see if you camera is now activated.
Try using Internet Explorer to launch your meeting and see if the camera is accessible through that web browser.

Windows 8 Devices

If your camera works in the built in app, skip to step 14.

If your camera is NOT working in the built in camera app:

Click on the link and download the file listed in the instructions on the bottom of the page

Solution Information

Once the file has downloaded, open it and then run the top file (33880b99e2af47f89fd9c3419314052e.appxbundle)

In the pop-up window, click Install

Lenovo Vantage should start to load.

On the next screen, click Next:

On the Personalize page, click SKIP:

Once Vantage loads, Click Hardware Settings:

On the Hardware Settings Screen, click Audio/Visual:

Windows will ask if you wish to allow Vantage access to your location, click Yes:

Windows will then ask if you wish to allow Vantage to access your microphone. Click yes:

Microphone Access

Windows will finally ask if you wish to allow Vantage to access your camera. Click yes:

Camera Access

Your camera should now be activated. Try the meeting again.
Try using Internet Explorer to launch your meeting and see if the camera is accessible through that web browser.
