TRUTH IN TAXATION NOTICE

Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase for the Dunlap CUSD #323

1. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the Dunlap CUSD
   #323 for 2025 will be held on December 17, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Dunlap High
   School, 5220 W Legion Hall Road, Dunlap IL 61525.
   Any person desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing
   district may contact Dr. Scott Dearman, Superintendent, 400 S. Fourth St, Dunlap,
   Illinois at 309/243-8700.
2. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were
   $40,591,065.
   The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2025 are
   $45,735,000. This represents a 12.67% increase over the previous year.
3. The property taxes extended for debt service for 2024 were $6,124,505.
   The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service for 2025 are $5,046,700. This
   represents a 17.60% decrease over the previous year.
4. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $46,715,570.
   The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $50,781,700. This represents
   an 8.70% increase over the previous year.
