My classroom management system is called "Rewards and Consequences." It is exactly that! Students that follow the rules will be rewarded, and those that do not, will not! Classroom rules will be posted in the room, and each student will sign a contract stating that he/she knows and agrees to follow the rules. Each week students will have a behavior chart showing whether or not they followed the rules. Each infraction receives a check mark and at the end of the week students with no check marks will receive a reward. Rewards can be small treats, an additional recess, or other special priviledges. Students who have not followed the rules will not receive the reward, and that is their consequence.
