Reader's Workshop is an extension of our reading series. During Reader's Workshop, your child will be reading independently at their level. At this time, your child will be applying the strategy that we have been using during our whole group reading. This additional practice of our reading strategies will benefit your child.
Writer's Workshop is also an extension of our reading series. During this time, your child will be creating a variety of writing samples using the writing process-prewriting, drafting, revising and editing, publishing, and sharing with their classmates. Your child will be excited to share their "creations" with you at home. Second graders have wonderful imaginations!!
