FROM THE PTO PRESIDENT:
My name is Amy Irving and I am glad to have the opportunity to serve a second year as PTO President at Wilder-Waite Grade School! Working with such supportive parents, staff, faculty and fellow PTO members is always rewarding. It has been an honor to be part of a school of such remarkable status and great traditions.
So far, the PTO has been working very hard to help maintain the excellence of our school in every aspect. Part of our responsibility as a PTO team is to make sure that our funds are spent wisely while parents and guardians still have vested interests within our school. One of our more recent and larger purchases: Nine visual learning cameras for the classrooms! These units have been nice educational enhancements for both our teachers and students. Last Spring, the Dunlap School District provided us with LCD projector screens to accompany these visual learning devices, also known as "Elmo Units."
Thanks so much to ALL the parents and guardians who came to "Back to School Night" and signed up for various volunteer opportunities! It was a fun evening and great to see everyone enjoy the fellowship and school involvement. Remember, even if you are not a member of the PTO, you are still eligible to come to our PTO meetings and have a voice to our organization. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (excluding December) at 7:00 PM in the school cafeteria. Please feel free to join us!
I would like to now acknowledge our dedicated 2007/2008 PTO board for all their positive teamwork and accomplishments - even though the school year has just begun, your strong committment to the school already shows! A sincere thanks to the following members:
