Classroom Goals: Grades 1-5
Nov./Dec.
Game Day to any class with every student reading one AR book and testing with an average 80% correct by Dec. 10. To be awarded week of Dec. 13.
Jan.
Battle of the Books. Popcorn and Movie Parties to be awarded to the classes reading the most AR books. (1 st -2 nd and 3 rd -5 th )
Awarded 1st week of February.
Feb.
Read-In with snacks to be awarded to the class with the most total books read and most total points earned. (1 st -2 nd and 3 rd -5 th )
Awarded 1 st week of March.
Mar./Apr.
Pizza Party to be awarded to the class with combination most books, most points, % correct answers. Best overall score. (1 st -2 nd and 3 rd -5 th ) Awarded 1 st week of May.

These will be awarded in the cafeteria during the students regular lunch hour at the following times:

1 st week of February
1st week of March
1st week of May
There will be an AR awards assembly in May - TBA
Top 3 students per class in overall books read, points earned, % correct on tests will receive a certificate of recognition.
Any student who reaches their personal goal will receive recognition.
Top overall class winner will receive a $10 Barnes & Noble Gift Card.
Each week there will be a drawing for AR reader of the week. Each time a student reads an AR book, a ticket will go into the drawing. Once a week on Friday morning, Mr. Jefferson will draw for the AR reader of the week and that student will receive a special surprise.
