FIFTH GRADE MANAGEMENT PLAN

MRS. PIPER AND MR. WENSKUS

THE FIFTH GRADE WILL BE USING THE FOLLOWING GRADE SCALE:

 

99-100 A+      84-85    B-      68-71    D

94-98   A         82-83    C+      66-67    D-

92-93   A-        76-81    C       0-65      F

90-91   B+       74-75    C-      

86-89   B          72-73    D+

 

If a child earns a D or F grade on a daily paper or test, the problem area will be re-taught, and extra time will be spent on a one-to-one basis.   Remediation may involve re-teaching a particular area, re-teaching a test, or correcting an assignment.   This may be during a study period, recess or after school.

Two or more daily grades will be taken in each subject during a week, plus test, quiz and extra project grade, as they are assigned.

All students will have an extra day following an absence to make up missed work.   On special occasions, if more time is needed, it will be considered.

Conduct assessment is based upon student behavior during all parts of a school day.   This means that students are expected to follow acceptable behavior in the classrooms, in the special classes, in the cafeteria, in the gym, in the hallways, on the playground, and on the buses.
