Basic Frisbee Skills
1.
Step 1
How to hold a Frisbee backhand
The first step to throwing a Frisbee backhand is holding it
correctly. Grasp the Frisbee with your thumb on top and the rest of your
fingers wrapped around the edge.
2.
Step 2
Bring your arm toward your chest. Swing your arm and make sure
to take a step forward with your right foot (if you are lefty, your left foot).
Release the Frisbee, with a snap of your wrist, at the same time your foot
lands on the ground. Make sure to keep the Frisbee level during the release.
3.
Step 3
Finger placement underneath the Frisbee
To throw a Frisbee forehand, hold the Frisbee so that your
middle finger is on the inner rim of the Frisbee, your pointer finger is
extended on the underside of the Frisbee, and your thumb is wrapped along the
top.
4.
Step 4
Hold the Frisbee to the right side of your body, left side if
you are lefty, so that your palm is facing forward. The most important part
about throwing a Frisbee forehand is the snap of the wrist. Most of the power
comes from your wrist. Release the Frisbee, with a snap of your wrist, and with
a strong right step.

Step 5
Have Fun! Throwing the Frisbee forehand is much more difficult
than the backhand technique. It takes practice.
