The International Space Station is a research facility currently being built in earths orbit. The construction began in 1998.The craft is 190 miles from earth it travels at 17,250 miles per hour and completes 15.7 orbits per day. This is being built by NASA RKA JAXA. CSA ESA  AEB these are the space stations that are building it. The station  is a continuation of these space crafts Mir 2, space station freedom, Columbus, and  Kibo.
