Text Box: This is a picture of what it mite of looked like before it hit the Earth. Text Box: This is Chicxulub Crater. It was found by Glen Penfield, a geophysicist who was looking for  oil in Mexico. The name comes from the Mayan word meaning "the tail of the devil." This crater dates back 65 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous Period and is said to have cause the extinction of the dinosaurs. It is 180 kilometers in diameter making it the largest in the world.
