Typing Your Works Cited Page

The works cited page is a separate page that follows the report. The works cited page should have the following.

  1. The page should be double spaced.
  2. All entries should use the font
    • Times New Roman
    • Size 12 point
  3. The title, Works Cited, should
    • Be centered at the top of the page
    • Use font size 12 point
    • Not be underlined, in quotation marks, bold, or italicized
  4. After the title, touch the ENTER key one time before beginning the entries.
  5. The entries should be in alphabetical order by the first word of the entry. This may be an author's name, a book title, or website title.
  6. Each line is double spaced. NO EXTRA SPACING IS NEEDED.
  7. The first line of the entry begins at the left margin. Indent the second line, and any subsequent lines five spaces or one-half inch.
  8. At least three entries should be included
  9. Do not number the entries.
  10. Follow the rules on the "Works Cited" examples.
  11. Abbreviate the names of all months except May, June and July. Use a period after the abbreviation.
  12. The Works Cited page will be the last page of your report and is due the same day as the rest of the report.
