In this web quest, you will be learning that Archeology can be found all around you, even in Illinois.  A lot of people tend to think of Illinois as just the corn capitol of the U.S.  We have found that there are several area where you could view archeology; to view websites of these pages, click on the links below.

Discover Dickson Mounds Museum

  1. Using the History link, how old is Dickson Mounds?
  2. Instead of removing the bones from the grave, what did Don Dickson use to research them
  3. Under the Archeology link scroll town to the subtittle "Dickson Mounds".  How many mounds are there?
