Directions to Other Schools from Dunlap

 

Aledo High School
Volleyball played at high school. Take I-74 west to the Woodhull exit. At the exit stop sign turn left onto Route 17 west. After about three miles, Route 17 will intersect with Route 150. Route 150 and 17 West run together through the town of Alpha. After Alpha, turn left onto Route 17 west and continue on 17 until Aledo. (You will go through the towns of New Windsor and Viola). Stay on Route 17 in Aledo until you come to the 4-way stop at the intersection of Route 17 and 94. Turn left onto 94 South. The school is just off Route 94 at the south edge of Aledo.

 

Bloomington Central Catholic
Boys Golf played at Prairie Vista. Take I-74 east-go south at 1st exit after 74-55 split. Take right at 1st light-watch for signs.

 

Brimfield High School
Take Route 150 west to Brimfield. Turn right at first side street and go two blocks. Turn left--the school is one block on the left--we play basketball at the grade school.

 

Canton High School
Football, volleyball, and Girls basketball are played at the high school. Take I-474 to Route 116 or take Route 150 to Taylor Rd (past Wildlife Prairie Park) to Route 116. Take 116 to Farmington. In Farmington, turn left at the 4-way stop onto Route 78 south. Take Route 78 south to Canton. Canton High School is located on the left side of the road just before McDonalds. For golf, take Route 78 into Canton-the course is on the north edge of Canton just past Farm King and Wal-Mart.  The name of the course is Canton Country Club.  Cross Country meets are run at Big Creek Park.  The entrance to the park is located on the right side of the road directly across the street from the High School.

 

Boys basketball is played at Alice Ingersoll Gym.  Take I-474 to Route 116 or take Route 150 to Taylor Road (past Wildlife Prairie Park) to Route 116.  Take 116 to Farmington Road.  In Farmington, turn left at the 4-way stop onto Route 78 south.  Take Route 78 south to Walnut Street (go past high school).  Turn right on Walnut Street.  Alice Ingersoll Gym is located on left side of road.

 

Boys and Girls track meets are held at Canton Memorial Stadium.

 

Softball games are played at CHS softball complex.  Turn left on Linden Street (just before high school).  Go straight and field is located on right side of road at corner of Fourth Avenue and Linden Street.

 

Baseball games are played at fields located behind the high school.

 

Delavan
Cross Country. Take 74 east to I-155 South (Lincoln exit). Take I-155 South to Route 122 to Delavan. Turn left at the first stop sign in town and go to Delavan HS.

 

Dixon
Soccer and volleyball are played at the High School.

 

East Peoria High School
Take I-74 east to East Peoria. Take the Camp Street exit. Exit and go past the second stoplight. The high school is ahead on your left. Football and soccer are played at East Side Center. Tennis is at Illinois Central College. Golf is at Quail Meadows--take Rt 24 east of ICC--turn right at light and then right on Centennial.

 

Elmwood
Golf. This is played at Maple Lane Country Club. Take Route 150 west to Kickapoo. In Kickapoo, turn left at the 4-way stop and follow this road to Route 8. Turn right onto Route 8 and follow this to Route 78. Turn left onto Route 78 toward Elmwood and the Country Club will be on your left.

 

Eureka
Swimming is at Eureka College. Take Route 24 east to Eureka. Go to the stoplight and turn right. Follow this about 1/2 mile to Reagan Street (cemetery at this street), turn left.  For Eureka High School turn right at the stop light, go 1 block and Eureka High School is on the right.

 

Galesburg
Take I-74 west to the Route 34 Exit. Take Route 34 west to the Henderson Exit. Take Henderson St south to Fremont St. Turn right on Fremont and travel about 1/4 mile to the high school. Girls golf is at Bunker Links. Take I-74 west to Galesburg. Take the Route 34 west exit (2nd Galesburg exit). Take Route 34 west to the Henderson St/Hwy 150 exit. Go north on 150 (toward Alpha.) Go past the Regency Hotel. The first right turn is Lincoln Park. Drive through Lincoln Park to Bunker Links. If you cross Lake Storey on Route 150, you have gone too far.

 

Cross Country is at Lake Storey Park.  Continue on 150 and cross Lake Storey.  Turn left after crossing Lake Storey and travel ¼ mile

 

IVC
Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, and Track are played at the high school. Take Route 29 North to Chillicothe. At the McDonald's, turn left and go to the 3-way stop sign. Turn right and the high school will be ahead on your left.

 

Jacksonville
Swimming.  Take I-55 south to Springfield. At Springfield, get on I-72. Take I-72 west and take the first Jacksonville exit. You will exit onto Morton Ave. Take Morton Av past McDonald's, Hardee's, etc. You will come to a stoplight at Lincoln (Wal-Mart here)-turn right onto Lincoln. You will then see a sign for the YMCA on the left-follow these signs to the pool.

 

Track is at Illinois College.

 

Kewanee
Take Route 91 north to Route 90. Drive on Route 90 through Princeville to Route 78. Take Route 78 north to Kewanee. Stay on Route 78 through Kewanee to Good's Furniture--turn right at the street before Good's skywalk. Stay on this street for several blocks and Kewanee High School will be on your right.

 

Lincoln
Swimming is at Lincoln College. Take I-74 East to I-155 South. I-155 will intersect with I-55 just before Lincoln. Take the first Lincoln exit (Route 10 exit) of I-55. Take Route 10 into Lincoln. In Lincoln, continue on Routes 10 and 121. Lincoln College is located on your left on Routes 10/121. You will travel through part of Lincoln's business district before arriving at the college.

 

To Lincoln High School, take I-74 east.  Merge onto I-155 south which becomes I-55 south.  Take IL-10 east/IL-121 south exit, exit 126.  Turn left onto Il-10 east/IL-121 south.  Turn right onto I-55 BL west/Lincoln Parkway.  Turn left onto I-55 BL/5^th street.  Turn slight right onto Clinton Street.  Turn right onto S. Chicago Street.  Turn left onto Wyatt Avenue.  Stay straight to go onto Primm Road.

 

Limestone
Take I-474 south to the Airport Road Exit. After exiting, turn left onto Airport Road. Continue south on this road approximately 3 miles and the high school will be on your right. Golf is played at Newman Golf Course on Nebraska Ave.

 

Cross Country is run at Alpha Park which is at the intersection of Airport and Garfield.

 

Macomb
Get on Route 116 west by taking I-474 to the 116 (Farmington) exit or by taking Route 150 to Kickapoo. In Kickapoo, turn left at the 3-way stop and follow the sigh to Wildlife Prairie Park. Drive past Wildlife Prairie Park to Route 116 West. Take 116 west to Roseville. At Roseville, turn left on Route 67 south. Take Route 67 south to Macomb. Stay on 67 south in Macomb and go straight through square. As you leave the square you will be on Lafayette. Take Lafayette until a "T" intersection. Turn right at "T" onto Grant Street. Drive two blocks on Grant and turn left. Macomb High School is straight ahead.

 

Manual
Take I-74 east to the University St exit. Travel south on University until you come to the light at Main St. Turn right onto Main St and follow this past Bradley University and you will veer to the left onto Western Av. Take Western Ave past Radisson down the hill to Humboldt. Turn right left onto Humboldt and then turn left on Griswold. Follow Griswold until you see the high school.

 

Metamora
Football, Basketball, Track, Volleyball – Take Rt. 116 east into Metamora.  At stoplight, turn left onto Rt. 89 north.  Go 4 blocks at Madison Street and turn left.  Go 1 block, school is on your right.

 

Soccer, Tennis, Baseball, Softball, and Golf*** – Take Rt. 116 east into Metamora.  At stoplight, turn left onto Rt. 89 north.  Go past McBride and Shoff building (5 blocks down Rt. 89).  At the “Y” veer left onto Weidman Road.  Go 1 long block, Athletic Fields will be on your left.  ***Follow the above except veer right at the “Y”, go approximately 8 miles on Rt. 89.  Turn right on County Rd. 2200N, Snag Creek Course is approx. ¾ mile on left.

 

Cross Country is run at Black Partridge Park.  Take Rt. 116 east into Metamora.  Turn left onto Douglas Street. (The Flame restaurant is on the left of Rt. 116).  Go 1 block and turn left onto Progress Street.  At stop sign, turn right onto Coal Bank Road.  Go approx. ½ mile, Black Partridge Park is on your left.

 

Midland
Golf is played at Lacon Country Club, which is two miles east of Lacon on Route 17.  High School is located east of Lacon just before Varna on Route 17.

 

Monmouth
Take I-74 West to Galesburg.  Take the Route 34 west exit at Galesburg to Monmouth.  Golf is at Gibson Woods Golf Course which is on the east side of Monmouth off Route 34, 1st exit--watch for signs.

 

Morton
Take I-74 to Morton Av (south). Turn left on Jackson. Stay on Jackson - the High School will be on the right.  Cross Country runs at Northwood’s Park.  Soccer plays at McClallen Park.  Golf plays at Pine Lakes Golf Course.  Freshman baseball plays at Lions Field.  Freshman softball plays at Morton Jr. High.  All directions can be accessed using MapQuest.

 

Olympia
Take I-474 to I-74 east. Just before Morton, take I-155 south to Route 122 which is the Hopedale exit. Go through Hopedale past Miner. Miner is approximately 5 miles east of Hopedale. Turn right off Route 122 on the first road as you enter Miner. You will travel south on this road for approximately 2.5 miles. The first main intersection will be the Olympia Blacktop. Turn left (east) here and you will go directly to the High School.

 

Pekin

Football, basketball, baseball, tennis, volleyball, and track are all played on the high school campus.  From I-474, take the Pekin (IL Rt. 29) exit.  Rive south on Rt. 29 approximately 6 miles.  Turn left on Margaret Street (IL Rt. 9).  Follow Margaret, which becomes Court Street, 1 ½ miles.  Turn into the high school campus on Stadium Drive, immediately after the football stadium.

 

Softball is played in Mineral Springs Park, which is adjacent to the football/baseball fields.  Enter the park on the road just before the football stadium.

 

Soccer is played at Coal Miner’s Park.  Using the above directions, drive past the high school until coming to the 4-way intersection with parkway.  Turn left onto Parkway.  The entrance to the park is on the right, after the UAW building.

 

Golf is played at Lick Creek Golf Course.  From I-474, take the Pekin (IL Rt. 29) exit.  Drive south on Rt. 29 for approximately 2 miles.  Turn left on Edgewater Drive (IL Rt. 98).  Drive 1 mile and turn right onto Parkway Drive.  The golf course is on the left (about ½ mile).

 

Peoria Christian
Take Route 40 (Knoxville Av) south to War Memorial Dr. Turn left (east) on War Memorial. Turn right on California--the school will be ahead on your left.

 

Pontiac High School
Swimming is at the high school. Take I-74 east to Normal where I-74 intersects with I-55. Take I-55 north to Pontiac, Exit 2, or take Route 24 east to I-55 north to Pontiac exit, or Take Route 116 east which will take you to Pontiac. Once in Pontiac, follow 116 to Howard St Turn right on Howard St to Elm. Turn left on Elm-the high school is at the intersection of Elm and Indiana.

 

Richwoods High School
Take University St south to the intersection of Northmoor Rd and University. School is at this corner.

 

Golf is played at Kellogg golf course located at 7716 N. Radnor Road.

 

Rock Island
Take I-74 west and follow the signs to Rock Island/Moline. Take I-74 across Rock River and take the John Deere Expressway west exit. (This is also the Augustana College exit). continue west on John Deere Expressway to 18th Ave in Rock Island. Turn right onto 18th Ave and go until the "Y". Turn left at the "Y" onto 25th Ave. Continue up the hill for several blocks on 25th Ave. The high school will be on your left. The pool is located near the entrance of the fieldhouse.  Track is also located on block east of the High School on 25^th Avenue.

 

U-High
Swimming:  Take I-74 east to the Mitsubishi exit (Route 150). At the exit ramp stop sign, turn right. Continue for about 1/4 mile and turn past the Mitsubishi plant until you come to College Ave. Turn left on College Av and follow this through town until you come to Redbird Arena. Turn left at Redbird Arena--the pool is just behind Redbird Arena.

 

Washington HS
Take Route 24 east to the first Washington exit. Follow this to a stoplight "T". Turn left and follow this road past K-Mart and Wal-Mart. Turn left at the stoplight where the CVS Pharmacy is. The school will be ahead on the right.

 

Woodruff
Take Prospect Road south to Frye St. (Traffic light here) Turn left onto Frye and then go down the hill on Abingdon, which will take you directly to Woodruff HS. Cross country is at Detweiller Park.
