Call to order: 1:09 p.m. by Lisa Mathes

President’s Report: Special thanks to all involved in Parents’ Club this past year.

Vice President’s Report: None

Secretary’s Report: April 2011 minutes were accepted. (Motion: Sue Lock; 2nd: Brenda Young)

Treasurer’s Report:
Treasurer’s Report for April 2011was accepted (Motion: Julie Schneider; 2nd: Donna Verheyen).

• A report on cash projection needs was also presented. We will be able to cover all projected expenses for the remainder of the school year and start the fall with a working balance of $795.42.

Committee Reports:
Directory:

• Portal is now open on DHS website for families to input directory information.
• Will ask the school to do an Alert Now phone message just before July 1st deadline to remind all families to go online and input their information.
• May consider having a reminder put on Facebook or doing a mass email reminder.
• Advertising price for an ad on the front and back inside cover will increase by $25.

Hospitality: All done for the school year!

Staff Appreciation:

• Teacher Appreciation Week is this week…Mon: cheese, crackers, and veggie trays; Tues: cakes; Wed: Cinco de Mayo treats.
• Cookies will be provided for finals week.

Old Business:

• Appropriation Requests:
• Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner for $294.00.
• Posters of famous works of art for $200.

ÞBoard Action: Approved the appropriations of both of the above items for a total of $494.

• The 2011-12 Slate of Officers and Chairs was approved.

New Business: The first Parents’ Club meeting for 2011-12 school year will tentatively be held this summer at Lisa Mathes’ home on Thursday, August 4.

Graduation tickets will be distributed for use ONLY in case of inclement weather. These will be passed out with instructions to students at graduation practice.
