Dunlap High School Homecoming Parade Information
Date: Friday, September 21 at 5:00pm
Parade Staging Area – North Park at 4:30
At the parade site…….
Line Up: Grassy areas of North Park, as well as Second Street between Elm and Pine. NO parking will be available at or in the parade staging area.
Walking or Riding Participants: Please drop off participants who are walking or riding in the parade at the corner of Hickory and Second. A right turn on Elm will lead drivers away from the parade area and away from the congestion. Most groups walking in the parade will line up in the grassy area near the fence.
Floats/cars/trucks should enter the staging area from Rte 91 to Hickory Street to North Park.
Specific line up information will be available the week of September 17th.
Parade Route
North Park to 2nd Street
South to Methodist Church
East to Cedar Hill Drive
Turn Right (South) and proceed to Legion Hall Road.
Turn Right and go to Dunlap High School entrance
After the parade…………
Leaders/sponsors may want to designate a specific location for parents to pick up parade participants. Carpooling is recommended. It is the responsibility of each organization to remove and dispose of their float.
Note to Entries Throwing Candy: In consideration of others, we are asking that candy either be handed to people in the crowd or tossed at the ground in front of them. Please do not throw candy directly at the parade goers. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
