Attention Students and Parents!! Caterpillar's Student Trainee Program has been reinstated for the 2011 - 2012 school year! The Student Trainee Program, established in 1989, provides exciting opportunities for High School Juniors and Seniors and Community College students to work in a real-world environment. Qualified students are placed in jobs in the areas of Accounting, Clerical, Engineering and Information Technology. To date, more than 1,900 students have participated in the program. This program is an excellent way to “bridge the gap” in the school-to-work transition. |
Dunlap is seeking parent volunteers to participate in a Special Education Advisory Group for the upcoming school year. The purpose of the group is to facilitate the development of a long-term Special Education Plan for the District. Representation from each program (early childhood, cross-catergorical, instructional, and life skills) and each level (pre-K, elementary, and secondary) is our goal. To ensure that we have a manageable group that can accomplish all ofthe work to be done, we will limit our group size to about 7-10 parents. There will also be respresentative teachers and administrators on the committee. If you are interested in partricipating in this committee please contact Brooke Mair at 691-3955 or by e-mail bmair@dunlapcusd.net. |
