Spanish Club

Spanish Club is a new club to DHS! It is an organization devoted to the enrichment of the Spanish curriculum. We started the club last year and developed some fabulous ways to enhance the language that many of us are studying at DHS.  We took a trip to Springfield to experience the world of dance in the Spanish culture and followed the eventful morning with a Mexican lunch. We conducted workshops for the elementary schools within our district as a community service project. We also set monthly dinner dates and tried out the different Mexican restaurants in Peoria. Our goal is to further the understanding of the language and customs of the Hispanic world while providing a social outlet for students who share these interests.  If these activities sound exciting & you would like to be a part of this up and coming club, join us in Mrs. Long’s room, F10.
