YEARBOOK NEWS

 

The 2009 Yearbooks are handed out except for Thomas Guadalajara and Kayla Billerbeck. If you know any of these former students, please tell them to call the high school at (309) 243-7751 to arrange to pick up their yearbook.

The current Yearbook staff has been informed by Taylor Publishing that the 2009 Yearbook has been chosen as a Yearbook Yearbook semi-finalist. This is a national yearbook award and only 10% of Taylor yearbooks nationwide are nominated each year. Books are judged on covers, theme, layout design, etc. A final decision will be determined in early 2010. The Dunlap HS Yearbook won this award for the 2005 and 2006 Yearbook's previously.

The Editors would like to thank the 136 families that sent in baby pictures for the yearbook fundraiser. This is the largest number of photos that have ever been submitted.

April 1st marked the 3rd deadline for the Editors and staff to complete another 36 pages of the 2010 Yearbook. So far, 120 pages are completed which is a credit to the students involved.

JUST ANNOUNCED: After a one month selection process involving interviews, recommendations from faculty members, and extensive work on selected layouts the Editors for the 2010 – 2011 Yearbook have been selected.  They are Lizbeth Mendez and Kaity Tighe with Assistant Editors of Emily Rieker and Casey Ward.  Photo Editor is Haley Aubrey.  Congratulations to the girls.
