Civics (B) is a course which covers the same general material as the Civics course but at a slower pace.  Also, it will concentrate more on the aspect of citizenship than does the Civics course.  Entrance into Civics B is reserved for those students who have demonstrated difficulty in the Social Studies area. The course will present the material for the state-required tests on the U.S. Constitution and Illinois Constitution.  This course may not qualify as a college prep units as determined by the individual college/university.
