Physical Education is required for all students every semester they are in attendance in order to meet graduation requirements.  Each student is required to have a district uniform.  Students are eligible for exemption from Physical Education for medical reasons only when it involves a long-term excuse.  If a student misses more than three weeks and any given grading period, a Medical (M) for that grading period will be recorded on the student’s permanent grade card.  No credit is given when a student is exempt due to long-term medical reasons.  Students with medical excuses of one day to one week are required to remain in class and do required observations and written work.  Students exempt from Physical Education from one week to three weeks may be assigned to study hall and may upon returning be required to make-up missed work by participation in additional Physical Education classes or make-up missed class work after school.  Junior and Senior athletes may also be exempt if requested and approved by coach and counseling department.
