Pre-Engineering Mechanical Drawing is an advanced course designed for the student who is going to go into engineering. The student will need a good math background and some previous experience with computers to enable the student to succeed in this class. The student will spend time doing mechanical drawing and learning the CAD system. Some of the areas that may be covered are orthographic projection, pictorial drawing, sectioned views, auxiliary views, and standard dimensioning practices. Students will develop knowledge and good practices of safety procedures. In addition to technical skills, course content will reflect the integration of academic and workplace skills.
