Offered To:  Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors

 

Woods Production Technology I is a course designed to foster an awareness and understanding of manufacturing and construction.

 

It encompasses the resources, technical processes, industrial application and technological impact of the production system.  It may include an introduction to machine woodworking, wood identification, wood finishing, and experimentation.  Students will develop knowledge and good practice of safety in using tools and machines.  In addition to technical skills, course content will reflect the integration of academic and workplace skills.
