Practical Reading and Writing I is designed for the student who may struggle with language arts, this course presents strategies for comprehending, evaluating, and applying information from real-world sources, including newspaper and magazine articles, websites, printed reference materials, reports, and short fiction. Writing instruction focuses on clear, purposeful communication and the use of the standard spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization.
