 119 2D DESIGN PORTFOLIO (ADVANCED PLACEMENT)

Length:  One Year

Credit Granted:  One-half per semester

Prerequisite:  Art Foundations and a minimum of two other high school art courses

Offered to:  Seniors with teacher approval 

2D Design Portfolio (Advanced Placement) – This course is designed for highly motivated students who are seriously interested in the study of art.  Students submit portfolios for evaluation at the end of the school year.  Works in the portfolio may include but are not limited to graphic design, digital imaging, photography, collage, drawing, illustration, painting and printmaking.  AP portfolio work should reflect and will be evaluated on the areas of concern: quality, concentration and breadth.  Students are expected to work outside of class in order to complete portfolio requirements.
