104 COMPUTER GRAPHICS I (COMMERCIAL DESIGN (I270)

Prerequisite: Art Foundations with a a grade of "C" or better
Offered To: Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors
Computer Graphics I students will learn the basics of Adobe Photo shop and Adobe Illustrator computer programs. Students will work through tutorials to teach them all applications of each program. Students will work on several computer generated final projects.
Commercial Design examines the principles and techniques of commercial design and layout in graphic media. Assignments include the design of brochures, letterheads, logos, ads, posters, and a variety of illustration and graphic projects. Students will study composition, style, subject matter, and symbolism. They will apply these techniques to a series of studio projects. Students will complete a final project in silk-screening.
