103 PAINTING

Length of Course:  One semester

Credit Granted:  One-half

Prerequisite:  Successful completion of Art I with a grade of “C” or better.

Offered To:  Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors

Painting Students will paint four 16” x 20” paintings.  The first will be a still life, the second will be a painting from a collage the students makes from magazine pictures, the third will be a copy of a painting of the student’s choice and the last one will be an original painting.  Each assignment builds on the last so that it is hoped that the knowledge gained will produce good work.  The students will take their mounted paintings home.
