Horticulture Production involves the growing of greenhouse and nursery crops and operation of a horticultural business.  Emphasis will be placed on controlling the greenhouse environment for bedding and houseplant production and equipment and processes used in nursery crop production.  Agribusiness units include merchandising, advertising, displaying horticulture products, selling horticulture products and services.  In addition to technical skills, course content will integrate academic and workplace skills.  This course qualifies for one semester of the science requirement for high school graduation.  This course may not qualify as a college prep unit as determined by the individual college/university.
