352 ANIMAL SCIENCE

Prerequisite: Junior or senior having passed a biological and physical science

Offered To:  Juniors and Seniors

 

Animal Science deals with learning experiences that are concerned with the theories, principles, and practices in producing (breeding, feeding, care, and housing) animals and animal products for economic and other uses.  Applied math/science skills are stressed throughout the course.  Agri-business skills and microcomputer applications are utilized as they relate to each instruction unit.  In addition to technical skills, course content will reflect the integration of academic and workplace skills.  A notebook is required.  This course qualifies for one semester of the high school science requirement for graduation.  This course may not qualify as a college prep unit as determined by the individual college/university.
