Resource Management is a required Consumer Education course, which studies decision making for consumers using goals and resources available.  The topics include: the economy, consumer rights and responsibilities, budgeting, banking, investments, credit, taxes, buying cars, insurance, and renting apartments. Concepts studied include consumer rights and responsibilities, financial management, and management of resources. This course meets the requirement for consumer education instruction as required by the School Code of Illinois (Section 27-12.1.)
