Living Environments is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills needed to select, acquire, maintain and manage residential housing to meet people’s needs. Included in the course is the history of architecture and furnishings, the use of color and fabrics, building techniques, structural details, and practice in designing rooms for efficient, comfortable, and attractive use. The final project is designing and furnishing a room based on client’s wishes and within a budget.
