Global Studies

Syllabus

Welcome to Global Studies!  I hope you that you are ready to get to work.  This course will be very different from some of the other classes you have taken.  There will be no textbook; instead we will rely on various resources for the topics we will study.  In order to really understand the world in which we live, we must use multiple perspectives, including an examination of the values, beliefs, and traditions of other cultures and civilizations from the past to the present.

                   U.S. Role in a Changing World

 

       Materials: You will be responsible for:
                 - a binder or notebook
                 - a writing utensil everyday to class
                 - a flash drive to save, transfer, and turn in your work 

 

Grading:
        Each unit there will be two assessments in addition to homework and participation:
                   1.  An individual in class essay
                   2.  An individual or group project
