About Me

I was born in Peoria and grew up in Brimfield. I graduated from Brimfield High School, Black Hawk East College, Bradley University, and Illinois State University. I recieved by Masters in Reading and Reading Specialist certificate in the summer of 2008. I'm currently working on my Administrative Type 75 Certificate at Bradley University.

My professional career started in 2000. I taught second grade at Wilder-Waite Elementary School in Dunlap for 7 years. I'm currently in my 2nd year as a Reading Specialist for the Dunlap School District.

I married my husband, Jeff, in 2000. Jeff is a farmer and enjoys working outside. In 2006, our first son was born, Benjamin Scott. We also have Molly, our dog. In the summer of 2007 we moved to the country in the Brimfield area. I enjoy spending time outside, going for walks, playing with Ben and Molly, shopping, visiting family, and when the weather is right...sitting by the pool with my sisters!
