SCIENCE AND SOCIAL STUDIES

In science students will study plants and bees, electricity, rocks and volcanoes, and simple machines. Students will do experiments and have a text that is related to each unit. Notes and vocabulary will be kept in a science spiral.

In social studies students will study maps and geography, Pilgrims and Pioneers, communities, Washington D.C., and economics. Students have a social studies text along with supplemental materials.
The biggest adjustments many students have in both areas is learning how to study for a quiz or test. To help in this area students will know a few days ahead, and we will discuss specific ways to study.
