ASSIGNMENT NOTEBOOKS
Each day students in third grade write their daily assignments in their Assignment Notebooks. Students are to bring these notebooks home each night. For the first few weeks parents are to sign the assignments notebooks. Parents can check for incomplete assignments, future tests, and special reminders. In third grade the majority of the work is done during the school day. Sometimes daily work, which is not finished, is sent home to be completed and returned the next day.
WEEKLY HOMEWORK
Students will receive their spelling words on Monday. They are to study during the week for a Sentence Test on Friday.
Each week students recieve a Weekly Geography paper to be completed at home and returned to school by Friday.

HOMEWORK TIPS
1. Allow your child time to unwind and play right after school.
2. Show an interest in your child's school day. Talk bout the events of the day.
3. Provide a quiet place away form distractions. It is helpful to have pencils and paper at home for your child to use.
4. Remember that your child's homework is his/her responsibility. However, make sure that your child knows that you are there to help if needed.
5. Ask your child to show you his/her completed work. Consider your a consultant and help your child find the errors and make corrections independently.
