Meet Miss Hughes

My name is Shelley Hughes. This is my second year at Banner Elementary and my second year teaching! I absolutely love teaching third grade because the students and I are always learning something new each day.

 

In August of 2007, I moved from Rock Island, Illinois to Dunalp. It was a very exciting move for me and I am loving my new location!

 

In the Spring of 2006 I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

 

In my free time I enjoy reading (especially Skippyjon Jones books by Judy Schachner), going shopping and spending time outdoors. In the winter you can find me supporting the University of Iowa Hawkeye basketball team. In the summer you will find me having fun at YMCA Camp Benson in Mount Carroll, Illinois.
