Reading : This week we will begin our 5th theme in reading. The theme is My
Neighborhood, and it will last for the next two weeks.
Math : This week we will continue working on Chapter 5 in math. This chapter deals with the various addition strategies that we can use in order to solve an addition problem. Chapter 6 is planned to begin next week. Please continue to practice addition and subtraction facts at home.
Science : We are continuing with our unit on Fall. This week we'll be doing some activities with our own classroom pumpkin. We'll even carve it into a jack-o-lantern at the end of the week!
Reminders
Reading logs are due on Wednesday, October 31st. If your child has met the set goal, they will receive a Pizza Hut coupon for a free personal pan pizza!
PARTY J Students are not to wear their Halloween costumes to school in the morning of the 31 st . They may bring them to school and we will change into them after lunch. The parade will begin at 1:30 with classroom parties immediately following.
Please remember to have your child bring his/her “book bag” back on Mondays.
