Hello! Thank you for visiting my website.

I am one of the first grade teachers at Banner Elementary. The year has gotten off to a great start and I look forward to each day with the kids.

I graduated from Western Illinois University with a degree in Elementary Education. When I graduated from college I worked with 2 year olds for 2 years as a lead teacher. I worked with At Risk students for 1 year. I substitute taught at all grade levels for 2 years. I also, worked with school age students for 1 year. My first public school teaching position was in the Dunlap School District. I was the travel kindergarten teacher between Banner Elementary and Ridgeview in the 2006-2007 school year. After a year of doing that I was offered a full time first grade classroom at Banner Elementary.

After getting hired to the school district, I moved to the Peoria area. My husband is from here and I am originally from the Quad City area.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, swimming, going for walks, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy taking pictures. Be sure to visit our classroom picture page.
